Development and Visions

Lymphatic medical team of Cancer Hospital of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences was separated from the Chemotherapy Center in September 2014, and subsequently became an independent department in April 2016. Being the first specialized clinical center focusing on lymphoma in Zhejiang province, we mainly offer medical service for patients with newly diagnosed and relapsed lymphoma, multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, as well as other rare hematopoietic&lymphoid neoplasms. In the future, we aim to become the domestic leading and internationally known lymphoma standard diagnosis, treatment and research center.

Staff and Facility

Our team of specialists consist of 7 doctors, among whom one with doctor’s degree and four with master’s degree, as well as 14 nurses. The director of the department is now severing as vice chairman of Hematology Branch of Zhejiang Provincial Cancer Treatment and Prevention Alliance. Besides, we take on teaching tasks of training interns and giving lectures. We are equipped with a total of 40 beds for patients undergoing chemotherapy, 4 hundred-level aseptic laminar flow wards for performing autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Superiority and Achievements

In order to provide patients with precise diagnosis of the disease and individualized treatment, our department took the lead in setting up the first lymphoma multidisciplinary team (MDT) in Zhejiang Province in April 2016, which included lymphatic department, radiotherapy department, pathology department, imaging department and nuclear medicine department. Since the establishment of the MDT, more than 300 patients have benefited from it. With the relaunch of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and the development of CART therapy, our department has now become a full-scale standardized diagnosis and treatment center for lymphoma, including precise diagnosis and individualized treatment, new drug clinical trials, autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and CART therapy. So far, nearly 30 international or domestic clinical trials of lymphoma have been conducted, covering almost all common lymphoma subtypes and making us the center with the most clinical trials on lymphoma in Zhejiang province. At the same time, a national multi-center clinical trial initiated by our investigators has been launched, which represents our own exploration in this field. Furthermore, we attach great importance to international communication and domestic publicity. We have invited several world-known lymphoma experts from America, Germany, etc, to our center for academic communication and consultation. We successfully hosted the annually National Cancer Hospital Lymphoma Alliance Academic Conference and Zhejiang Cancer Hospital Lymphoma Diagnosis and Treatment Summit Forum to promote the further improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma for 4 years. According to the above, we are proud to say that our level of comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma is among the best in China.
